How does this work?
The most important thing for you to know is that the entire system is 100% automated, so you never have to worry about the functioning behind the scenes. But if you’d like to know, here’s how it works…
- Merchants “register” their products on our system.
- Publishers list their blogs and newsletters on our system.
- Partners pick blogs and newsletters to promote.
The rest is handled by our System automatically:
- Partners send Visitors through a coded link to the blogs and newsletters they picked. This link is generated by AlignWithUs and given to the Partner.
- Visitors purchase products from the Merchants promoted through the blog or newsletter, and AlignWithUs tracks the sales to credit the referring Publisher.
- AlignWithUs then tells the Publisher which Partner referred the Visitor and how much revenue share is owed to them.
- Publishers then pay their Partners this revenue sharing via PayPal or Checks with the simple payment file they export from their AlignWithUs account.
Advanced Tracking?
It’s done through an advanced tracking system that remembers who referred who where, and whether or not those referrals ended up spending money. Whenever someone buys a product from a Merchant (who has registered that product on our system) we check to see if the customer was referred to them by one of our Publishers’ blogs or newsletters. If they were, then we check to see which Partner sent the visitor to the blog or newsletter and credit that Partner with the sale. Then when the Merchant pays the Publisher their commission for the sale, the Publisher shares a portion of that commission with their Partner.
